CRS, in collaboration with the Togo National Food Fortification Committee (CNFA), held a regional workshop to strengthen regulatory systems and promote rapid testing of fortified foods. The event gathered 65 participants from Togo, Benin, Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger, including health, regulatory, industry, and customs representatives. QuImpact led practical trainings on BioAnalyt’s iCheck devices for testing vitamin A, iron, and iodine, while introducing digital tools for data monitoring. The workshop concluded with recommendations to improve certification, enhance customs collaboration, support producers, and explore regional models for premix regulation and tax exemptions.
